Why

The problem, the mission and the audience definition.

Context

Political division in Poland is argued emotionally, not substantively. People are asked to pick a side long before they can name what they actually believe, and identity-branded media reinforce that: they are ideologically pre-labelled, so young audiences reject them on sight.

Civic education is supposed to close that gap and does not. When myPolitics started in 2018 there were almost no technological tools that helped a person understand their own political views. The "political compass" concept was known worldwide, but nothing carried it into a serious, maintained, Polish-language product.

Opportunity

myPolitics exists to build a politically self-aware society, and to educate through play.

The mission has three layers:

  • Understand yourself - A questionnaire returns your views across many detailed axes, not one label.
  • Understand others - The same axes make other people's positions readable instead of tribal.
  • Shift the argument - From emotion to substance - better-informed people make better decisions and pick fewer pointless fights.

Personality-quiz platforms exist globally, but they are psychological. None of them treats political and philosophical belief as the subject. That gap is still open, and it is the one we fill.

Our key audience: Primarily young Poles (15-30) who are politically curious but repelled by declared-ideology media. Secondarily: politicians, journalists and influencers, who take our quizzes publicly and carry the product to everyone else - and, since we hold no ideological position, they come from the whole spectrum, left to right.

Risk

  • Politics is radioactive - Any perceived bias destroys the value of the product faster than it can be rebuilt. Credibility is the whole asset.
  • Election dependence - Traffic spikes around elections and falls hard between them; a product that only exists in October of an election year is not a platform.
  • Volunteer fragility - No external funding means no salaries, so the organisation runs on mission and personal growth. That is a real constraint, not a slogan.
  • Sensitive data - Political views are a special category. Handling them badly is both a legal and a trust failure.
